Sweden stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Stockholm 30 up 1.26%

Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 1.26%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb), which rose 6.10% or 16.40 points to trade at 285.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb) added 4.41% or 4.70 points to end at 110.10 and AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) was up 3.68% or 7.60 points to 214.40 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb), which fell 9.33% or 0.44 points to trade at 4.32 at the close. NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST:NIBEb) declined 3.82% or 1.70 points to end at 42.80 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was down 2.91% or 3.25 points to 108.30.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 450 to 336 and 64 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.88% or 0.65 to $74.21 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.85% or 0.65 to hit $76.95 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.71% or 18.86 to trade at $2,666.26 a troy ounce.

EUR/SEK was up 0.22% to 11.50, while USD/SEK rose 0.49% to 11.10.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 108.31.
