Turkey stocks lower at close of trade; BIST 100 down 0.42%

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Leasing & Factoring, Telecoms and Real Estate Investments sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.42%.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Papilon Savunma Guvenlik Sistemleri (IS:PAPIL), which rose 4.88% or 0.62 points to trade at 13.33 at the close. Meanwhile, Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) added 4.69% or 10.50 points to end at 234.60 and Astor Enerji AS (IS:ASTOR) was up 3.28% or 3.40 points to 107.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Hektas Ticaret TAS (IS:HEKTS), which fell 5.82% or 0.23 points to trade at 3.72 at the close. Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS (IS:AKSA) declined 5.00% or 0.60 points to end at 11.41 and Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS:KONTR) was down 4.99% or 2.10 points to 40.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 353 to 210 and 21 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for February delivery was up 1.49% or 38.81 to $2,646.91 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 2.20% or 1.55 to hit $69.03 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.51% or 0.37 to trade at $72.51 a barrel.

USD/TRY was up 0.36% to 35.19, while EUR/TRY rose 0.82% to 36.64.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 107.78.
